Womens refuge and counselling centre Bournemouth (2019)
This work was undertaken to address Bournemouth's issue of housing the homeless. Due to the size of the site and the quantity of homeless people living in the area, it was estimately that site could only accomodate 50-60 people.
As this was the estimated quantity of homeless women in the area, it catered to their needs as a specialist demographic: aiming to house them in a protected environment and provide them the means to rehabilite themselves and each other into normative lifestyles.

The site is designed to enable the women in residence to interact with Levels 0-3, but those visiting to not have access to levels above this to ensure the resident's safety.
It is fully self-funding due to the ground floor and first level accomodating commercial businesses - which cover the water and electrical costs of the floors above.
