TEMPORARY WORKSTATIONS AND NEW BUILD FLOORPLANS (2023)
TECHNICAL DRAWING LAYOUTS FOR EQUIPMENT
In 2023, the Arts University of Bournemouth entrusted me with conducting a survey of the existing Print Room and Binding Room studios. The objective was to compile comprehensive equipment lists for each department and design floor plans for a temporary space elsewhere on campus. This temporary space was essential to accommodate the equipment during proposed building works in the Northlight Studios, as part of a larger plan to construct a two-story building housing the Fine Art Block, Print Room, and Binding Room.

The project involved creating detailed furniture arrangement floor plans and equipment lists, specifying spatial requirements for each piece of equipment. These deliverables were subsequently handed over to an external architectural practice responsible for designing the new building. The information provided played a crucial role in informing design choices and ensuring that the new structure adequately accommodated all services and facilities.
Below are the layout drawings for Level 0 of the proposed new facilities, ensuring that all departmental needs are met including building services:
